Snow Day!

We've escaped most of the east coast snow storms so far...but this past week a storm finally left us enough snow to build some frosties!

Our frosty family. Yes, Mama frosty is pregnant.

Lovin' the snow.

Guess Who's Two!!

That's right! Ella turned two on Friday, and we celebrated with family (and Elmo) on Saturday. It was a good ol' fashioned two year old birthday party complete with pizza, Elmo and cheesy hats. I think a good time was had by all :)

The Elmo cake - the first, and maybe last, homemade cake by Mama.

The setting.

Mimi and Nana.

Yep, everyone wore their party hats! Ella made sure of it, although she refused to wear hers.

She was so thrilled that everyone was singing happy birthday to her!

Blowing out her candle. She's been practicing for weeks.

She insisted on sitting in Baba's lap. She LOVES her Baba and Poppa.

Present time!

Her new American Girl baby doll! She is obsessed. Baby goes everywhere with us.

Cookies from Aunt Farrell and Uncle David!

Being silly with Mimi.

Mama and Auntie Nina showing off their baby bumps.

Ellavision: The Girl's Got Moves...

I just have no idea where she got them...

Birthday Kick-Off!

It's birthday season again! All of the kiddos in our Mom's group were born around the same time, so January, February and March are full of birthday celebrations. And Eli always starts us off, as he's the oldest one of the bunch. So, to begin the "twos" celebrations, we celebrated with Eli today at a parachute party. So fun!

Ella is quite ready for birthday season. She sings "Happy Birthday" about 100 times a day... I guess she wants to practice for her big day!

Ella and Olivia were too cool to participate. They much preferred to snack.

Enjoying some cake with Olivia and Bennett.

Daddy is stealing cake!

Buds are finished partying. That's all for now folks!

Fashionista

Ella took a trip to the Natural History Museum today with Nana! I can't stop laughing about the picture below. This is Ella's impression of a bag lady :) Apparently, Ella was quite insistent that she wear this particular hat today. And when Nana tried to leave it in the car, she insisted on wearing it into the museum. Ella's Aunt Nancy sent her a special book called "Ella Sara Gets Dressed" that is a about a little girl with a very particular fashion sense. I think our Ella is taking after Ella Sara!

Terrified of the large elephant at the museum -- but protected by her hat!

Hanging out with monkey at the museum.

Checking out the "nemo" fish.

Much happier with the play animals in the gift shop.
