Sick-A-Thon, Part I: Madison, WI

We've been on a country-wide tour of urgent cares and ERs. First, in Madison, Ella developed a mysterious 103 degree fever. So, we made two visits to the urgent care center. Now, we're in Kiawah Island, SC and both mom and Cooper have been sick with a yucky respiratory virus. Because Cooper is so young, we were advised to take him to the ER. So we visited the ER in downtown Charleston today. I have to say, it was the nicest ER I have ever been too! It was a special pediatric ER -- it was great and super quick. And luckily Cooper is okay. He and Mom just need to fight off this yucky bug!

Here are some pics of our time in Madison. Despite Ella's illness, we had a great time visiting family and celebrating the wedding of Patrick and Corrinne. Ella totally rallied and had a great time on the dance floor! She danced with her Mimi until she couldn't dance any more!

Snuggles!

Some silly pics of bath time and bedtime.

Cooper is such a snuggly baby. I love it! Ella was never that way, but I think I've finally worn her down :) Now, every night after reading bedtime stories, she says "snuggle with me Mommy." And I curl up with her in her little bed in the dark and we snuggle and laugh and sing Mary Poppins. It is the absolute best part of my day. Tonight, at bedtime, we started reading her nursery rhyme book that we read so much when she was younger that it is now worn and falling apart. It was part of our nighttime routine. She was not more than 18 months and would recognize the pictures and start reciting all of the rhymes. When did we stop that routine? I am a little sad that we've already moved past that and I can't hold that goofy little 18 month old anymore and hear her silly expressions. But snuggle time with the 2 year old Ella isn't too bad either :)

Wahoowa!

We recently headed down to Charlottesville for my 10 year reunion! So hard to believe it's been 10 years. It was great to meet up with everyone -- and so fun to see all the kiddos!

Sassy.

Big sister kisses!

Look who we found at the sorority house! Aunt Farrell! Not sure what's going on with Cooper here...

Sorority sisters and kiddos! Quite a change from my college days at this house!

Ella Poppins

Ella is obsessed (and I mean obsessed!) with Mary Poppins. We listen to the music constantly -- everywhere we drive. She wants the music left on for every nap and every time she goes to bed. I am amazed, she can sing along with all the songs and knows all the words! If only she could learn to snap her fingers and clean up her room...
