I lurrrve Christmas. I start singing Christmas songs at the beginning of December. But sometimes Christmas makes my head hurt. As I sat exhausted at Christmas dinner, I realized that while the holiday is one of my absolute favorite, I was kind of glad it was over. I woke up on the 26th with nothing that I had to wrap, clean, cook, wash, address, prep, or dress. Just a bazillion things to put away. Let me tell you, the best Christmas gift I received was the angel who showed up and helped organize all of the kids' toys -- down to every last crayon, stuffed animal, puzzle piece and sticker book. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
New rule: anyone who brings my kids a toy must take a toy with them when they leave.
Much of Christmas was spent sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Yuck.
But we did manage to squeeze in some Christmas activities....
And bake Christmas cookies...
And wear festive holiday garb...
And a girls trip to the Nutcracker!
We loved celebrating with cousin Sutton! Smiliest. Baby. On. The. Planet.
Oh, but wait, you're not done yet. Round two of pictures coming up next.
