My Friend Eli

Here are some pics from a day last week with my Nana. Whenever Nana comes, she brings Eli with her. Eli is a very strange dog. As you can see, Eli and I are buds.

Happy Mama's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas!

We had a great weekend. We started off the weekend with a BBQ at Aunt Nina and Uncle Rich's. Rich and Nina get married in two weeks! Hooray!

It takes two grown men to make sure a 15 month old does not fall down the steps.

Then we went to brunch with Nana, Baba, Grammy and Poppa.

We also went on a Capitol Hill house tour. Ella was most interested in the flowers.

My Nana and my Grammy! How lucky can one little girl get!

Hangin' out with Poppa.

Family photos. What a great mother's day!

No way Mama!

As a supplement to the post below, here is a video showing just how excited Ella was about playing in the water! (Please excuse my appearance. I'm getting LASIK next week and then no more glasses, ever! Who hoo!)

Splish Splash! Let's Beat the Heat!

It was in the 90s all weekend! So we looked for some fun ways to cool off. Our first idea was to join the other kiddos and run through the fountains...

Ella was skeptical from the beginning.
Scoping out the situation... Ella repeatedly said, "no, no, no."

See mom, those kids running in the water are crazy!

You can't make me do this.

Save me Nana!

So, plan A didn't work out so well. But Daddy saved the day with a cupcake.

Plan B went much better. Ella loved the sprinkler in the yard!

See how happy I am now, Mom!

She loved when Daddy set up the new water table!

Fish! Fun!

Silly girl.

Ahhh, the lazy days of summer.

Chillin' with the pooch.

She sat like this for quite a while and had an entire conversation with herself. If only I had understood a word of it...

And then she proceeded to do this...

And then this. What goes through that mind??

She loves when you ask her to stand on one foot. Her new favorite trick :)

Checking out what Daddy's working on in the backyard.

Baptism, Bubbles and Mowing the Lawn

Yesterday was very special. We attended the baptism for our goddaughter, Taylor Madeline. Taylor is the daughter of our good friends Tom and Nancy. We met Tom and Nancy ten years ago in Hawaii!
Taylor has the same big blue eyes that her mother has!

Getting so big!!

Tea party in the playroom. Emma was not very excited.

Wow, did Ella write that?

We went to a baptism for our goddaughter, Taylor Madeline. Ella helped by mowing the lawn at the reception.

Playing with Noah.

Soccer!

Bubbles!

Nancy and Taylor. Precious!

Mmmmm. Cake!

With mama.

Watching the Derby :)

Love that little face.
