Flower Child

Spring has arrived, most days. Ella is enjoying the flowers, dresses, and bows.

The Results Are In...

Well, Ella survived her two month appointment today. We heard the first "real" scream from Ella when she got her shots. Her entire face turned bright red! She and Mom have spent most of today recuperating.

After much speculation about Ella's weight and length, we finally have the results. Looks like we have a tall and thin girl on our hands. Ella's measurements were:

Length - 23 1/8 inches - 85th percentile

Weight - 10 pounds - 30th percentile

Head - 15 inches -75th percentile

Here are some pictures of Ella on happier days -

Getting older

It's been a busy week. Ella turned two months old, went to the movies with mom, went to multiple dinner parties, got new shoes, and met some older men (without dad's approval). Being two months old also means Ella is due for her next doctor's appointment. We are excited to see how much she has grown, but it is also time for her first round of shots. So tomorrow may be a little painful . . . . .

New shoes

Sporting more new shoes.

We went to dinner at a friend's house and Ella got to meet Nathan, who is two months older. Dad kept a close eye.

Later in the week, Ella went to another dinner party...

...and met three older men (without dad's approval).

But Aunt Nina saved her.

Anyone for a nap

It was a cold and rainy weekend, which was a great time to catch up on some much needed naps for everyone.

Hats!

I seem to have acquired quite a collection of hats! Here's some pictures of a couple of my favorites:

Pee-Wee made me this beautiful bonnet - and matching booties!

Yesterday, I spent the day with Mommy and Grammy. It was so sunny out, so Grammy bought me this sun bonnet!

Look how big I'm getting!

My Day with Nana

It was warm and beautiful out yesterday, so Nana, Mom and Ella had a girl's day in Old Town, Alexandria! We brought the stroller so that Ella-bear would sleep happily while we bounced over the rough brick sidewalks. However, the princess wanted to be out of that stoller and held ---so that she could see everything! She stayed awake through shopping and lunch.

Snow and a Special Visit

Brian headed off to Indianapolis today, and Ella and I are enjoying a snow day at home. Ella is such a different baby than she was a couple weeks ago. She is looking around at everything, cooing and loves her activity mat. We had a great weekend - highlighted by an eagerly awaited visit from Aunt Erin!

Hi Mom!

Aunt Erin brought a very special hand-made blanket for Ella!

All tuckered out.

Time for a bath after a busy weekend!
Hurry back Daddy!
