Baptism, Bubbles and Mowing the Lawn

Yesterday was very special. We attended the baptism for our goddaughter, Taylor Madeline. Taylor is the daughter of our good friends Tom and Nancy. We met Tom and Nancy ten years ago in Hawaii!
Taylor has the same big blue eyes that her mother has!

Getting so big!!

Tea party in the playroom. Emma was not very excited.

Wow, did Ella write that?

We went to a baptism for our goddaughter, Taylor Madeline. Ella helped by mowing the lawn at the reception.

Rainy Days

It's been a rainy weekend...but we've been having fun running around the city.

First we went to Eastern Market.

Brian and Ella surveyed the fresh fruits and veggies.

Walking through Eastern Market.

Checking out the city.

It's a great big world out there.

Girl in the Garden

It seems like life has been put in fast forward recently. Too much to do! But we (i.e. Brian) did find a little time to work in the backyard this weekend. Of course, Ella was a lot of help!

Loves her new watering can.

Please, can I go outside, pleeeeeaaaassssseeee!

I asked her to put the bucket on her head...

Such a goof!

Seeing Double!

We just got back from a great weekend in Boston with good friends from college - Ben, Meredith and their adorable 6-month old twins Max and Caroline. It was such a fun weekend - we went downtown to Boston, checked out the aquarium, played on the playground, and had a great time hanging out and watching the kiddos play. Hard to believe how much our lives have changed since we all first met!
Ella, meet Max.

The boys.

The twins' amazing feeding system. Hands-free feeding. Genius!

Giving Ben and Mer a glimpse of what's to come...i.e. a 14 month old will never hold still.

Ella decided to swing Caroline. Caroline wasn't so sure about the help...

We drove in to Boston to go to the Children's Museum. We got the kids out of the car and into the strollers. A few minutes later...three sleeping kids. So we skipped the museum and had coffee :)

At the aquarium. Ella peeking over to see the penguins. Hold on tight Dad!

Ella checking out the sharks. She was so scared she jumped back and started shaking her head "no!"

She loved the turtle.

Max was braver than Ella.

Thirteen years ago, college. Now this...

Beautiful fam on a beautiful Boston day.

Ella offering words of wisdom to Max...

...and a kiss.

Controlled chaos.

The neighborhood playground.

Swinging is more fun when you have a buddy.
