We may not be spending our Saturday nights out on the town anymore, but I wouldn't trade this for anything! :)

We Love SoCal!
We love SoCal! The reasons are endless! Best friends, Baby Harper, Mary and Steve, Shamu, I could go on and on! Oh, and the weather is amazing and kids can be outside year round. Each time I visit, I ask myself the same question -- why don't I live here??
Friends since 8th grade -- now with kiddos! So hard to believe!

An EARLY morning breakfast. We were up at 4:30 am each morning. It was awesome. Oh yeah.

Okay, so we're a little behind schedule with this post -- but here's the 8 month picture! Luckily there are only a few more months of this! Cooper can't sit still to save his life. Getting this picture was nearly impossible!

Halloween Love Bugs
What a wonderful Halloween! Aside from all of us being struck with the stomach flu -- even Nana and Mimi! -- Halloween was great! These costumes made their way all over town -- to the library, the Del Ray parade, and the occasional family dinner. Unfortunately Ella was sick for her preschool Halloween party, but with all the other festivities going on, I don't think she missed it.

Our very sensitive butterfly would have preferred if the parade were a little quieter...
Nana showed up on Halloween wearing a witch hat. Ella proceeded to wear the hat for most of the morning.
The grand finale - trick or treat!
So... when we took out the stroller for trick or treating, Brian discovered a number of canned goods in the bottom of the stroller. Two cans of sardines, a pack of smoked oysters, a can of sockeye salmon, a can of crab meat and a can of smoked tuna, to be exact. We wondered whether this was some sort of practical joke. We called Nana and Mimi to ask if perhaps they left their groceries in the stroller. But Ella solved the mystery. She informed us that she bought these items when she "went shopping" while we were at Trader Joe's. These items were promptly returned to Trader Joe's the next morning. Next time Ella, could you at least chose an aisle aside from the smoked fish aisle??
