Grayson Kingsley Has Arrived!

He's here, he's here!  Yes, he made us wait a bit past the due date, but our baby Gray has arrived!

I was scheduled for an induction on July 22.  I went in the night of the 21st to sleep at the hospital before the induction began at 7:00 am, and little Gray decided that in no way was he being forcefully evicted.  Let's just say things progressed quickly the night of the 21st, my water broke at 5:38 am on July 22, and he was born at 5:52 am.  All without a drop of pitocin.

Usually it takes a day or two to get to know your little one.  I remember with E and C thinking, well, hello there -- and who are you little one?  Grayson looks and moves so much like Ella that I felt like I knew him right from the start.  It's like Ella all over again -- except this time the boy version.

37 Weeks...!

I managed to convince the kids to take a few pics with me to document the belly and impending arrival of baby brother.  Considering that we amateurs took them ourselves I think they turned out alright!

Oh, baby boy -- will you have blond hair like your sister and brother?  Blue eyes like your sister, or brown like you brother?  Will you be sassy, but shy, like Ella?  Or silly, sweet and wild like your brother?  Yes, I know you will be your own person -- but oh, we can't wait to meet you!

Father's Day Dancing...

No beer or baseball for these awesome Dads.  They got to spend Father's Day at a ballet recital....

While I have loved dressing up my little girl, this might be our last season.  Ella is demanding that she doesn't want to do dance anymore.  And I'm pretty sure we're not dealing with the next prima ballerina, so I don't really see any reason to push her :)

The performance was, well, interesting.  Let's just say they look a lot more together in the pictures than they did on stage.  Even Ella told me on the way home, yeah, we practiced it a lot, but we're still not very good :)  There were some amazing older kids in the show though - wow!

Looking a little off balance... I think if the wind had blown, I might have toppled over.
