Today

Today is one of those days I wish I could live over and over. And one of those days when I could totally be a stay-at-home-mom. Yes, some days I feel like I'm being pecked to death by chickens (I've heard another mother describe it this way -- I've since adopted the description), but today was borderline perfect. The weather was amazing. We had nowhere we had to be. The kids were in a great mood. Cooper slept blissfully all morning. Ella threw her arms around me and gave me her silly smile and I seriously felt my heart triple in size. I walked everywhere with a skip in my step. I'm not sure if a 32-year-old's best friend can be a two-year-old, but I think mine is. We shared Mac n Cheese at one of my favorite lunch places and then hung out in the park. Ella had me laughing all day. The sun was shining everywhere we went. I want to remember today.

Covered with chocolate from the chocolate chip cookie.

Fun Fun Fun!

We've been enjoying the great weather, visits from friends, and Cooper's better mood :) Everything went well at his 8 week check, he's growing like a weed!

After seeing mommy wear it for days, Ella decides it is her turn.

At Jack's 4th birthday party. What a beautiful day!

Always twirling.

The girls (and Cooper).

Enjoying a sunny, warm day in the sunroom.

Yes, she does run my life.

Not happy with the preppy look. Cooper decides to spice things up.

I. love. them.

I could eat them with a spoon!

Some Serious Silliness

Ella was up at 6 am this morning to watch the Royal Wedding with Mommy and Auntie Nina. She munched on scones and loved watching the princess (although she decided to play with her legos during the sermon -- too boring).

The day before the big event, we had some serious silliness with Nana in the Nordstom lounge. Ella played dress up and decided to act out the wedding. It's the most fun I've ever had shopping :)

Ella with her "veil." This girl loves the mirror.

Nana as Ella's lady-in-waiting.

Ella Ballerina

Monday was the first day of Mommy and Me ballet class! We had been talking about going for weeks and even made a special trip out to buy her ballet shoes and leotard. She was thrilled. However, she thrill the world's biggest fit that morning about putting on her ballet clothes. I almost thought we were going to have to call and cancel! But by the time we got there, she was all smiles (of course) and was the model student. She started twirling the second we walked in, and while all the other girls kind of meandered about, she watched the teacher intently and copied every move. She was great!

Can't stop dancing :)

p.s. - When I mentioned today that we get to go back to ballet class again on Monday, she was so excited, but then said "Ella cry cry and say 'I don't want my ballet clothes!" I just stared at her in disbelief. Really, she remembers that tantrum? I didn't even know she was cognizant during that!

Happy Easter!

Yeah fun! We had such a great Easter! We got to see lots of family and enjoy the beautiful weather. Ella had a great time hunting for eggs at Mimi and Poppa's and dressing Lucy in rabbit ears :)

Silly!

Mama and Little Man

Love her face!

Look! The Easter bunny came!

Goofball :)

I only look innocent...

This is what Cooper thought about family pics (or at least wearing a bonnet).

And she's off!

Hunting...

Cute!

Not so cute.

Hello G Pop!

Who's that cute boy in the mirror?

All smiles!

Cutie! (I think someone looks like his Daddy...at least in this pic!)

Lamb cake!
